In the Service of Peace

In the Service of Peace

September 2022 to August 2023

The RCA Museum is proud to announce a new temporary exhibit on peacekeeping. Opening September 2022 and running through August 2023, In the Service of Peace chronicles the Canadian experience in peacekeeping – and peacemaking – missions. The exhibit highlights missions in the Middle East, Cyprus and the Balkans using the collections of the RCA Museum. It explores the diversity of peace operations from the United Nations to NATO and other missions. The stories of individual Canadian peacekeepers, both Gunners and those who serve with them, are told using their photographs, uniforms and documents. The exhibit features three iconic vehicles used in peace operations, an Iltis, a Lynx and an AVPG Grizzly. In the Service of Peace tells the story of Canadians who put themselves in harm’s way in the name of peace.
